For a long time, I have believed that geniuses are born smart. But after I did my further research about it, maybe out of my curiosity, I concluded that each person has a unique level of intelligence, and that is the truth. 

On the other hand, there are lots of researches stating that a person can develop a high level of intelligence by doing some useful activities that can also be your hobby. At first, I think that Albert Einstein spent most of his hours in his lab. The truth is, he still found time doing the things he loved aside from figuring the universe out. Aside from that, he also loved biking, sailing, and hiking. He also had the heart for kids. He loved to mingle with the street children he met while going to his work.

Similar to Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs is also known for being in love with music. He was fond of listening to the different genres of music for his past-time. He is considered to be an audiophile.

Elon is my favorite human. As far as I know, Elon Musk loves to bake cookies for his family during Sundays. Since he is known for being a programmer, I think he is passionate about playing video games during his childhood and teenage days.

Since he is very intelligent, I can conclude that he also loves spending his spare time learning some stuff. But the stuff I am talking about is related to influence and approach. His hobbies are not all about fun. He also learns something and can change the world because of the hobbies he loves.

But when it comes to preventing experiencing the signs of dementia and preserve one’s memory skills, I think no other hobbies can beat creative past-times and hobbies. As we age, our memory level starts to decrease. But we can maintain it by performing various hobbies that one can enjoy and, at the same time, enhance the level of intelligence. The following are inexpensive, fun, and safe hobbies. I think everyone will love it.

The memory level of an adult person will improve when he place he uses his hands using a paintbrush or pencil when painting or drawing. Many people think that cooking is all about prepping meals and creating attractive side dishes.

You are definitely wrong!

Aside from making you healthier, cooking is also known to help you become a more intelligent person.

When you are deciding which meal you want to cook, you are using your mind and your creative skills. Not only that, but it will also help you to have an improved focus. This is because cooking requires you to focus your full attention on making it perfect. In addition to that, you will become more attentive to the things you will eat and how you are going to feed yourself.

Meditate

Did you know that Richard Dawson performs research about the behavior of your brain waves as you do meditation? He performed his research way back in 1992. To perform his research, he used some monks and the Dalai Lama.

In this section, the exercise that I am talking about does not refer to the hard exercises you are occasionally performing. But rather, I am referring to the light exercise that you can perform regularly.

Aside from being physically fit and healthy, performing exercise two to three times a week can help you to make more amount of BDNF genes. These genes are known to helping you with the right amount of protein in one’s spinal cord and brain.

The BDNF genes are known for the maintenance and growth of your cell. If you have a healthier body, you can improve your efficiency and productivity. So, I highly advised you to perform a light workout that you can do regularly.

I believe that proper and regular exercise can help you to improve your health and growth. Aside from that, it can also boost the plasticity and growth of your brain. So, it is always important to get active since inactivity might give you the opposite effect.

Read Anything

There are lots of benefits you can get from reading, in spite of what your preferred genre is.

According to a study, reading is a hobby that will help you to avoid the feeling of stress. As a result, one can be a better version of himself. Stress reduction is not the only benefit you can get from reading. It is also known to increase the level of the various intelligence types, emotional, fluid, and crystalized.
